MINSK, 10 March (BelTA) – Belarus looks forward to productive cooperation with the World Free Zones Organization (World FZO), Belarus' Deputy Economy Minister Alexander Yaroshenko told journalists when asked about the benefits of the Industrial Park Development Company joining this organization, BelTA has learned.

Alexander Yaroshenko expressed hope that the World FZO will actively support Belarus. “I hope we will establish productive cooperation,” he said.

“The most important thing is to take our preferential territories, particularly the Great Stone Park, into the international orbit of cooperation. The World FZO includes all FEZ enterprises. We would like to become part of this international community,” said Alexander Yaroshenko. According to him, without going international, without active collaboration, the projects will not be considered successful.

The Deputy Minister also said that as a coordinator of development of the free economic zones in the country, the Economy Ministry seeks to make the fullest possible use of international experience. “Today we discussed the topic. The level of preferences is important, but equally important is the quality of services. The one-stop shop principle is prevalent,” he said. Alexander Yaroshenko added that Belarusian specialists have been offered to undergo training in the World Free Zones Organization.
