Bellesbumprom enterprises raise export to distant countries by 10.7% in January

MINSK, 10 March (BelTA) – The enterprises of Bellesbumprom Concern raised the export to distant countries by 10.7% in January, BelTA learned from the press service of Bellesbumprom Concern.

“In January 2016, the enterprises of the concerned increased the export to distant countries by 10.7% over January 2015, when non-CIS countries accounted for 29.9% of their export. In the first month of 2016, these countries accounted for 40.6% of the export,” the press release of the press service reads.

According to Bellesbumprom, the export to non-CIS countries stood at 34.5% in January-December 2015.

“The volume of export in the output has been on the rise. For instance, in January 2015 the enterprises exported 43.5% of the output, this year they exported 53.1% of the output (up 9.6%). The export to such countries as France, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Turkey, Poland, Iran, Latvia, Italy soared.

Apart from that, the enterprises are doing their best to diversify the export of furniture. Thus, the export of furniture went up 32.1% in January 2016 in comparison with the same month of 2015. The export of matches went up 36.4%.

“The export of paper and cardboard has been on the rise too. The export of wallpapers went up 54.2%, paper and cardboard – up 10.7% in the first month of the year,” the representatives of Bellesbumprom said.

On the whole, Bellesbumprom enterprises exported $16.1 million worth of products to 32 countries in January.

Bellesbumprom Concern unites 45 enterprises of various forms of ownership. The capacity of all plants and factories included in the concern is almost 4 million cubic meters of timer. The enterprises of Bellesbumprom specialize in timber stockpiling, paper and cellulose making, wood processing and furniture production. The enterprises of the concern are the largest furniture producers in Belarus.
