Kazakh army's Chief of General Staff to visit Belarus

MINSK, 22 March (BelTA) – The Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan intends to visit Belarus, BelTA learned from Major-General Oleg Belokonev, Chief of the General Staff of the Belarusian army, Belarusian First Deputy Defense Minister, during the solemn meeting held on 22 March on the occasion of the 10th anniversary since the General Staff Faculty was established as part of the Military Academy of the Republic of Belarus.

Congratulating the Faculty on the anniversary, Oleg Belokonev noted that Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan Saken Zhasuzakov will arrive in Belarus on an official visit on 25 March.

While in Belarus Saken Zhasuzakov will visit the General Staff Faculty, said the Belarusian First Deputy Defense Minister. The Faculty trains highly qualified officers, who are capable of commanding army units, army branches, and central military administration bodies not only in Belarus but neighboring countries such as Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan.
