Lukashenko: The Fundamental Law is the legal pillar of the independent, sovereign country

MINSK, 15 March (BelTA) – President Alexander Lukashenko has congratulated Belarusian people on the Day of the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

“The respect to our symbols of statehood is the main indicator of patriotism, civic spirit and political culture of the nation. The Fundamental Law serves as the main legal pillar of our independent and sovereign country, the guarantor of rights and liberties of citizens, the foundation of successful implementation of Belarus' development strategy,” the message of greetings reads.

The head of state remarked that the consistent implementation of constitutional norms ensured the unity of the Belarusian nation and harmony in the society, social and political stability and productive operation of reliable government institutions.

“Of course, our common goal is to promote the values envisaged in the Fundamental Law, enhance national unity, cherish the historical and cultural legacy. It is especially important for bringing up the younger generation in the spirit of love for the Fatherland and loyalty to the native land,” the Belarusian President stressed.

The head of state wished all Belarusians peace, strong health, and wellbeing.
