Lukashenko: Social security service fulfils many important tasks

– A wide range of responsibilities is vested in the social security service of Belarus, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said in his message of felicitation to the Labor and Social Security Ministry on the occasion of their professional holiday – the Day of Social Workers, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Belarusian head of state.

“Some 95 years have passed since the establishment of the social security system in Belarus. Today the system deals with a wide range of important tasks in the field of social security and labor,” the message reads.

The President noted that at present every person capable of working has an opportunity to find a job and have a decent life, while disabled people and vulnerable households are provided with a solid support on the part of the state. Social security laws and targeted assistance are constantly improved. The pension system works without failures.

“This is due to the efforts of all social workers and veterans of social security organizations of the country. I am convinced that you will keep making a considerable contribution to the development of our country,” the Belarusian leader said.
