Іранская праваабаронца і юрыст Шырын Эбадзі / Iranian human rights defender and lawyer Shirin Ebadi
On 10 August well-known Iranian human rights activist and lawyer Shirin Ebadi, awarded Nobel Peace Prize in 2003, joined the campaign in support of Ales Bialiatski, launched by the International Federation for Human Rights (FIDH) in cooperation with the Human Rights Centre Viasna.
Ms Ebadi is the first internationally famous person who responded to the call of human rights organizations to support Ales Bialiatski, who was nominated for the Nobel Prize in 2007.
Thanks to the efforts of FIDH, vice-President is Mr. Belyatsky, guarantees in support of the Belarusian human rights activist will be collected among famous people around the world.
Shirin Ebadi (Shirin Ebadi, was born June 21 1947. in the Iranian city of Hamadan) - Iranian human rights activist and lawyer, winner of the memory of Professor Tarolfa Raft (2001), winner of the Nobel Peace Prize (2003) "for contributions to the development of democracy and the struggle for human rights especially women and children in Iran." She is a honorary doctor of many Western universities, including University of Toronto, British Columbia, Australian Catholic and others. At present she lives in the United States.
