Сябра БХК Святлана Рудкоўская / Sviatlana Rudkouskaya, member of the Belarusian Helsinki Committee
On 1 August the administrative case against a member of the Belarusian Helsinki Committee Sviatlana Rudkouskaya was reviewed without her participation. The new ruling, signed by the Deputy Chair of the Leninski District Police Department of Hrodna Vital Stasiukevich was copied from the earlier one.
On 9 August the human rights defender addressed the Chair of the Hrodna Region Police Department to appeal against this ruling.
Bear in mind that in April 2011 a police report was composed against Rudkouskaya in her absence. She was accused in professional negligence at the position of Chair of a housing society. The Chair of the Leninski DPD Yauhen Yarmantovich (who, to Rudkouskaya’s mind, fabricated the case against her), fined her 140,000 rubles.
