Belarus-Slovenia Intergovernmental Commission for Trade and Economic and Scientific Co-operation holded a session

On 23 – 25 May, a Slovenian delegation led by Director General of the Directorate for Economic Diplomacy and Development Cooperation of the Slovenian Foreign Ministry Vladimir Gasparic is visiting Belarus to attend the first session of the Belarus-Slovenia Intergovernmental Commission for Trade and Economic and Scientific Co-operation. The Belarusian delegation will be headed by Belarus Deputy Foreign Minister Valery Voronetsky.

During the three-day visit the Commission is expected to hold a Belarus-Slovenia Business Forum at the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, hold talks of expert groups in the Ministry of Energy, Ministry of Housing and Utilities, State Committee for Science and Technologies, Belarusian Railways. The Slovenian delegation will also visit MAZ facilities.

The draft agenda of the Commission covers a broad range of bilateral co-operation issues, including the state and prospects of bilateral economic development, co-operation in the manufacturing industry, agriculture, tourism, sci-tech and innovations, development of bilateral legislation, assistance to the international motor traffic, implementation of specific commercial projects as well as other pressing issues of shared interest.
