GRODNO, 12 August (BelTA) – The third international investment forum in Grodno will be held on 29 September, BelTA learnt from the department of economy of the Grodno City Hall.
The event is traditionally held in the oblast center as part of a multi-sector trading show Euroregion Neman 2011. The forum will display investment projects for implementation in Grodno, proposals for the Grodnoinvest free economic zone. The forum will present the potential of the Augustow Canal for the first time as a tourist and recreation park and a kind of a free economic zone under the aegis of the Grodnoinvest administration.
The aim of the forum and exhibition is to intensify cooperation between economic agents, boost export and investment potential, assist the implementation of investment projects and set up joint companies.
Attending the previous investment forums in Grodno were over 250 people including heads of diplomatic missions, administrations, businessmen from Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Hungary, Slovakia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, the Czech Republic and Germany.
