Leader of the European Party of Ukraine Mykola Katerynchuk believes that the arrest of ex-premier Yulia Tymoshenko confirmed the readiness of authorities for open political repressions, the party's press service has reported.
"I can confidently say that the arrest of Yulia Tymoshenko confirmed the readiness of the current power for open political repressions. Other oppositionists could be arrested tomorrow. Ukraine, through the efforts of the pro-government coalition, is steadily moving towards dictatorship like that in neighboring Belarus," said Katerynchuk.
In addition, Katerynchuk is convinced that "the arrest of Yulia Tymoshenko shot down European integration processes in Ukraine."
