MINSK, 24 August (BelTA) – The production of electronic equipment in Belarus went up 13.9% in January-July 2011 over the same period last year to reach Br5.531 trillion, BelTA learned from the National Statistics Committee.
In January-July the output of alternating current motors increased some 19.2% to 353,700 items as against the same period of 2010. The manufacturing of line transformers soared 13.2%. Belarusian companies produced over 15,300 DVD players; 9,300 low-voltage devices (up 2.3 times); 4,700 radio receivers (up 65.4%); 105,300 electric lamps (up 11%).
In January-July the production of TV sets slimmed down to 79.8% as against the same period last year. The output of telephones fell to 38.4% as compared to the January-July 2010.
As of 1 August the backlog of electric equipment made up Br525.3 billion, or 100.7% of the average monthly output.
