Belarus’ output of agricultural tyres up 9.9% in January-July

MINSK, 22 August (BelTA) – In January-July the output of agricultural tyres in Belarus went up 9.9% over the same period last year to 355,100 tyres, BelTA learned from the National Statistics Committee.

The production of car tyres went up 7.4% as against January-July 2010 to 2.1 million; the output of truck tyres made up 529,800 (81.4%). In January-July 2011 Belarus manufactured Br5.5 trillion worth of rubber and plastic goods (up 14.2%).

In January-July Belarus’ chemical output increased some 1.3% over the same period of 2010 to the total of Br14.3 trillion. The production of mineral fertilizers went up 1.6% to 3.6 million tonnes. The output of potash fertilizers soared 1.5% to 3.2 million tonnes, nitrogen fertilizers – 2.5% to 474,900 tonnes. The production of phosphate fertilizers slimmed down by 1.3% to 109,600 tonnes.

The output of synthetic resin and plastic materials gained 2.1% to reach 197,500 tonnes, household products – 10.2% to 29,700 tonnes, synthetic detergents - 28.6% to 6,000 tonnes. Meanwhile, the production of chemical yarn fell by 0.8% to 130,500 tonnes, antibiotics – 3.2% to 24.6 million packages.

As of 1 August 2011 the finished stock made up from 0.1% of the average monthly output of potash fertilizers (700 tonnes) to 158.3% of medicines (3.9 million packages).
