There was bias against Belarus’ entry at the Eurovision Song Contest, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said during his working trip.
“Well done! Everything matched perfectly: the movements, the face, and the song. She sang the national anthem of Belarus. Who will let the anthem of Belarus reach the Final? Therefore, they pressurize us here, they pressure us there,” he said
The head of state said that Belarus “will face pressure on all fronts, including Eurovision, and that was what happened yesterday.”
The second semifinal of the 56th international contest "Eurovision-2011" was held in Dusseldorf, Germany on Thursday, May 12. Belarusian contestant Anastasia Vinnikova failed to win the hearts of the European audiences with her patriotic song "I love Belarus" and thus didn't reach the finals.
