MINSK, 29 August (BelTA) - There is no need for excessive saving or tightening of the screws at the nationwide level, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko told Belarusian pedagogues on 29 August.
“We have no extra money to spend, especially now. In order to stabilize the situation, we cannot afford being reckless with the finances. Everything has to be tough and under control. Step left or step right on thin ice and we will fail,” Alexander Lukashenko said.
However, the head of state stressed that this is not about the tightening of screws, or as some say, tightening of belts. Those who need to tighten their belts, please do. Yet, on the state level there will be no such measures. We must carry out the policies for which we are responsible. We should not start doing many things at once, as was the case 10 or 15 years ago,” the Belarusian leader said.
