'Dzintara Volga 2011' - nostalģiskas atmiņas un sportiskas kaislības - DELFI.lv

18.septembrī Biķernieku trasē notika "Dzintara Volga 2011" kausa izcīņa. Sacensībās piedalījās pāris desmiti GAZ-24 Volga automašīnu, starp kurām visai komfortabli iejutās arī viens GAZ-21 padzīvojis agregāts.

"Dzintara Volgas" vēsture meklējama tālajā 1964.gadā, kad Mežaparkā pirmo reizi sacentās šīs padomju cilvēkam gandrīz nepieejamās mašīnas. Pēc Biķernieku trases izbūves 1968.gadā sacensības sāka notikt tur. Biķernieku trasē sacīkstes parasti vēroja liels pūlis skatītāju. Pēc Latvijas neatkarības atjaunošanas "Dzintara Volgas" kausa izcīņā iestājās 19 gadus ilga pauze. Sacensības tika atjaunotas tikai pagājušajā gadā.

Svētdien varēja redzēt, ka Volgu pasākums sāk atdzimt. Starp dalībniekiem bija Latvijas, Igaunijas, Krievijas un Baltkrievijas pārstāvji. Ne visiem trase sagādāja veiksmīgus brīžus – dažiem notika tehniskas ķibeles, citiem grūtības radīja spēkratu novaldīšana. Tomēr gandarījumu guva gan paši braucēji, gan skatītāji. Jācer, ka nākamajā gadā sacensības notiks ar vēl lielāku vērienu.
