Baltkrievijas pilsētā Lidā notiekošajā četru valstu hokeja turnīrā, Latvijas U-20 izlase spēles papildlaikā ar rezultātu 2:3 piekāpās mājiniekiem baltkrieviem, portālu "Delfi" informē Latvijas Hokeja federācija.

Otrās trešdaļas sākumā, izmantojot skaitlisko vairākumu, Latvijas komandas labā vārtus guva Pauls Hodzko, taču pēc nepilnām divām minūtēm baltkrievi spēja rezultātu līdzsvarot. Otrā perioda vidū Baltkrievijas juniori jau izvirzījās vadībā. 44 sekundes pirms trešās trešdaļas beigām Pauls Zvirbulis panāca izlīdzinājumu, 2:2. Diemžēl pagarinājumā, spēlējot mazākumā, Latvijas U-20 izlases vārtsargs Kristers Gudļevskis tika pārspēts trešo reizi.

Tikmēr turnīra pirmajā spēlē Austrijas U-20 izlase ar rezultātu 4:3 visai negaidīti apspēlēja Dānijas vienaudžus.

Turnīra otrajā spēlē Latvijas izlase piektdien tiksies ar Dānijas U-20 valstsvienību, bet pēdējā mačā sestdien spēkosies pret Austrijas vienaudžiem.

"Kopumā esam punktu ieguvuši, jo tikai pēdējā minūtē izvilkām neizšķirtu. Papildlaikā tiesnesis mums iedeva diezgan nesaprotamu noraidījumu laukuma centrā. Overtaimā mazākumā spēlēt ir ļoti sarežģīti, spējām izturēt minūti. Salīdzinot ar baltkrieviem, bijām nedaudz vājāki gan kustībā, gan iestrādēs. Jāuzteic spēlētāju cīņasspars. Nepatīkamu pleca traumu guva Kirils Tambijevs. To, cik tā ir nopietna parādīs rentgens. Domāju, ka rīt nespēlēs. Kopumā komandā noskaņojums ir labs, gatavojamies rītdienas spēlei pret Dāniju," pēc spēles atzina Latvijas U-20 izlases galvenais treneris Ēriks Miļuns.
