Białoruś.Milicja skonfiskowała nakład "Witiebskiego Kuriera" - Gazeta.pl

Jak poinformowała niezależna gazeta internetowa "Biełorusskije Nowosti", milicja drogowa w nocy z piątku na sobotę zatrzymała ]]> samochód ]]> , który prowadziła jedna z dziennikarek "Witiebskiego Kuriera". Milicjanci przeszukali maszynę, ale nie znaleźli nakładu gazety, gdyż wieziono go innym pojazdem.

20 minut później wóz milicji drogowej na sygnale zatrzymał 10 km od Witebska należący do prezesa gazety Wiktara Ramnioua samochód z nakładem. Wydawcy zamierzają ubiegać się o zwrot wydrukowanych egzemplarzy, ale liczą się z możliwością, że to się nie uda. Kiedy poprzednim razem został skonfiskowany cały nakład gazety w kwietniu 2010 r., nie odzyskano go.

"Witiebskij Kurier" jest drukowany w Smoleńsku w nakładzie 10 tys. egzemplarzy. Oficjalnie jest on zarejestrowany w Rosji, ale sprzedaje się go w Witebsku.

Aleś Bialacki został 24 listopada skazany na 4,5 roku kolonii karnej o zaostrzonym rygorze wraz z konfiskatą mienia. Sąd uznał, że nie zapłacił on podatków od kwot przechowywanych na kontach bankowych w Polsce i na Litwie. Oba kraje udostępniły służbom białoruskim dane bankowe Bialackiego w ramach mechanizmu pomocy prawnej.

Bialacki podczas procesu argumentował, że pieniądze na jego kontach nie stanowiły jego dochodu, tylko zostały przekazane przez zagraniczne fundacje na działalność w sferze obrony praw człowieka. Ocenił, że wyrok ma motywy polityczne, ponieważ "Wiasna" pomagała osobom represjonowanym na Białorusi z przyczyn politycznych.

Skazanie Bialackiego spotkało się z potępieniem UE, Rady Europy, Parlamentu Europejskiego i OBWE, które wezwały do natychmiastowego i bezwarunkowego uwolnienia i rehabilitacji działacza oraz wszystkich innych więźniów politycznych na Białorusi. Wyrok ostro potępiło m.in. polskie MSZ i przedstawiciele polskiej sceny politycznej.
