W tym roku na Białorusi rozpoczną się poszukiwania złóż gazu łupkowego w rejonach wskazanych na podstawie zdjęć satelitarnych - zapowiedział Aleksandr Swjatogorow z firmy "Kosmoargieołogia".

Według Swjatogorowa poszukiwania złóż ]]> gazu łupkowego ]]> będą prowadzone w okolicach miasta Homel, gdzie istnieją struktury geologiczne, które mogą kryć takie złoża - jak wynika z analizy zdjęć satelitarnych.

Dotąd na Białorusi nie znaleziono gazu łupkowego i uważano, że jego poszukiwanie nie ma sensu. Jednak w 2011 r. poszukiwania wznowiono, rozpoczynając prace od analizy zdjęć Białorusi, robionych z kosmosu.

- ]]> Polska ]]> jest gotowa podzielić się z Białorusią technologiami niezbędnymi do eksploatacji gazu łupkowego. Białoruskim specjalistom gotowi są pomóc także eksperci z ]]> USA ]]> i Litwy - powiedział Swjatogorow, cytowany przez agencję prasową Biełta. Przedstawiciel "Kosmoargieołogia" nie sprecyzował, która z polskich firm jest gotowa pomóc Białorusi w wydobyciu gazu łupkowego.

Do poszukiwania złóż gazu łupkowego zachęcał prezydent Białorusi Aleksandr Łukaszenka, występując 20 kwietnia 2010 r. z posłaniem do narodu Białorusi i Zgromadzenia Narodowego tego kraju. Łukaszenka mówił wtedy, że omawiał ten projekt z ówczesnym premierem Siergiej Sidorskim i ówczesnym szefem Akademii Nauk Białorusi, a dziś premierem tego kraju Michaiłem Mjasnikowiczem.

Wtedy Łukaszenka zabiegał o jak najkorzystniejsze warunki współpracy między białoruskim monopolistą gazowym Biełtransgaz i Gazpromem. A pod koniec zeszłego roku rosyjski koncern został jedynym właścicielem białoruskiej firmy, kupując resztę jej akcji od rządu Białorusi.
