Latvijas junioru volejbolistes kvalificējas EČ otrajai kvalifikācijas kārtai - DELFI.lv

Latvijas sieviešu junioru volejbola izlase svētdien ar 3-0 (25-10; 25-13; 25-11) uzveica Kipras junioru izlasi, līdz ar to latvietes ir izcīnījušas tiesības startēt Eiropas čempionāta otrajā kvalifikācijas kārtā, kas aprīlī norisināsies Baltkrievijas pilsētā Mogiļevā, portālu "Delfi" informē Latvijas Volejbola federācijas pārstāvji.

Rezultatīvākās spēlētājas Latvijas izlasē bija Rūta Treija un Alise Lece, kuras guva pa 12 punktiem. Labākā uzbrucēja Alise Lece - deviņi punkti, Rūtai Treijai astoņi gūti punkti ar servi (ace). Kipras izlasē rezultatīvākās spēlētājas ar četriem gūtiem punktiem bija Nikoletta Stylianou, Antonia Theoti un Antria Konstantinou.

Latvijas izlases treneres asistente Aleksandra Tihovska ir gandarīta par paveikto darbu un gatavojas doties uz nākamo Eiropas čempionāta atlases kārtu Mogiļevā: "Šobrīd ir liels gandarījums par paveikto. Pirms spēles galvenais uzdevums bija uzsākt šo spēli tāpat kā uzsākām vakar – pārliecinoši. Ņemot vērā to, ka Kipras izlases meitenes lielākoties ir divus gadus jaunākas par mums un mēs vakar uzvarējām Dāniju, tad bija bažas, ka meitenes nenovērtēs šodienas pretinieku, tāpēc svarīgi bija jau no sākuma psiholoģiski uzspiest savu spēli, kas arī izdevās. Tagad gatavosimies nākamajam atlases turnīram, kas aprīlī notiks Baltkrievijā (Mogiļevā)."

Pēc turnīra pirmo vietu ieņem Latvijas izlase, otrās Dānijas juniores un Kipras izlase ieņēma trešo vietu.

Latvijas sieviešu izlase, kas dalībai Eiropas čempionātā ir pieteikta pēc ilgāka pārtraukuma, turnīru sāks ar pirmo kvalifikācijas kārtu, kur Latvijas izlases pretinieces būs Kipras izlase. Uzvarētājs tiks noteikts divu spēļu summā. Pirmā spēle tiks aizvadīta 2012.gada 11.-13.maijā Latvijā, atbildes spēle pēc nedēļas Kiprā. Uzvaras gadījumā Latvijas izlase iekļūs kvalifikācijas turnīra nākamajā kārtā - grupu turnīrā, kur potenciālās pretinieces būs - Čehijas, Bulgārijas un Ungārijas izlases.
