The gold stock of the National Bank of Belarus amounted to 31.7 tons on January 1, 2012. According to the National Bank, last year's gold reserves increased by 400 kg (or 1.3%).
At the beginning of October last year, the gold reserves of the country’s central bank equaled 31 per ton. It rose by 700 kg (or 2.3%) in the IV quarter, after declining by 1.6% in the III quarter and by 0.3% in the II quarter. As for the I quarter, it increased by 1%, AFN .
However, according to the data of the National Bank, the gold stock of the country grew by 2.65 tons (or 9.2%) in 2010 and amounted to 31.3 ton on January 1, 2011.
Furthermore, as Telegraf previously reported, the National Bank of Belarus got down to printing money again. Thus, according to the National Bank of Belarus, the total ruble mass (cash, denominated deposits and securities) amounted to Br43.355 trillion on January 1, 2011. This amount is 13.2% more than in December 2011. The amount of cash rubles in circulation has increased as well.
