On November 30, Public affairs officer Carrie Lee visited Minsk School N14 for Hearing Impaired Children for the opening of the “Plener 2011” art exhibit. The event was to mark the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. Among the guests were the Ambassador of the Republic of Hungary, representatives of the FRG Embassy as well as the young artists. While welcoming the participants, the school Director Ms. Natalia Kravchuk and the Head of the art studio Mr. Dmitri Ermilov thanked the Embassy for its ongoing support of their art projects, including the exhibit of children’s art works at the Belarusian National Art Museum in 2010 and donation of the American art book collection. PAO Carrie Lee also toured the school, presented a book on American art and gave out some memorabilia and IRC tote-bags to the young artists.
