Paris will host a roundtable with the participation of the friendship society represented by students and professors of the Catholic University of Lyon. The event will make part of the celebrations of the 20th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Belarus and France.
According to the embassy, a sci-tech conference “The role of the BSSR in the establishment and activity of the United Nations Organization” was initiated by Chairman of the Belarusian-French friendship society Rhone-Bourgogne-Bielorussie Professor Gilles Thevenon in a bid to develop humanitarian and cultural cooperation between Belarus and France. The conference was held at the Catholic University of Lyon. Attending it were students of the Law Department, dean of the department Marc Olivier, a representative of the Belarusian embassy in France and others.
The embassy donated a publication of seven volumes “Republic of Belarus. Export Potential” as well as the latest information materials on the country’s economic, cultural and tourist potential to the Lyon university.
The conference was followed by a meeting between the representative of the embassy and participants of the conference, pedagogues and students to discuss the most important issues of cooperation between Belarus and France.
