Bérézina 2011

Le 28 novembre 2011, M. Dominique Gentils, Chargé d'affaires à l'Ambassade de France en Biélorussie, s'est rendu sur les lieux de commémoration du passage de la Bérézina par la Grande Armée en novembre 1812. Il était accompagné de l'Attaché de défense, le lieutenant-colonel Philippe Gauthier, et de son assistant, le Premier-maître Fanch Francis.


Une soixantaine de personnes a participé aux cérémonies, parmi lesquelles les représentants du comité exécutif de l'arrondissement de Borissov (Mme Choutko), des membres de l'Ambassade de France, des associations historiques napoléoniennes françaises et biélorusses, et une trentaine d'uniformistes.


Le Chargé d'affaires a déposé une gerbe de fleurs et s'est recueilli au cimetière de Stoudienka (district de Borissov-rive gauche de la Bérézina) sur la tombe collective où ont été réinhumés les restes mortels de soldats de la Grande Armée, puis aux monuments commémoratifs de Brilevskoie Pole (village de Vesselovo-rive droite de la Bérézina) : garde suisse de la Grande Armée, tombe du soldat inconnu, monument russe, et monument français (stèle Beaucour).

La journée a été clôturée par une réunion à l'Ambassade de France avec des représentants d'associations historiques, en vu de faire un point sur les différentes actions envisagées pour le bicentenaire du passage de la Bérézina, en novembre 2012.
