Ezerus un upes daudzviet sedz vairāk nekā 40 centimetru bieza ledus kārta - DELFI.lv

Ezerus un upes Latvijas centrālajā un austrumu daļā sedz līdz 48 centimetriem (cm) bieza ledus kārta, liecina Latvijas Vides, ģeoloģijas un meteoroloģijas centra dati.

Saskaņā ar pirmdien veiktajiem mērījumiem Gauju pie Carnikavas klāj 40 cm, pie Valmieras - 48 cm biezs ledus, savukārt Lielupi pie Kalnciema, Jelgavas un Staļģenes sedz attiecīgi 40, 45 un 31 cm biezs ledus vāks. Arī Daugavā pie Baltkrievijas robežas ledus ir 40 cm, savukārt pie Jersikas - tikai 28 cm biezumā.

Agrāk veiktie mērījumi liecina, ka par 40 cm biezāks ledus ir arī citās ūdenstilpēs, tostarp 41 cm Aiviekstē pie Lubānas un 48 cm Ogrē pie Lielpečiem. Visur, kur veikti mērījumi, ledus ir biezāks par 20 cm un vairumā ūdenstilpju arī biezāks par 30 cm.

Savukārt Latvijas piekrastes ūdeņi, kā arī Rīgas jūras līča lielākā daļa ir brīva no ledus. Tas saglabājas līča ziemeļos, kur ledus biezums saskaņā ar Igaunijas Meteoroloģijas un hidroloģijas institūta sniegto informāciju ir 30-50 cm, vietām vējš un viļņi izveidojuši augstākus ledus krāvumus.

Sniega segas vidējais augstums otrdienas rītā Latvijas lielākajā daļā bija 10-25 cm, tostarp Rīgā 20 cm. Alūksnes un Siguldas apkaimē sniegs ir aptuveni 30 cm biezumā, bet Kurzemē pie jūras vietām ir tikai 6-7 cm sniega.

Jau ziņots, ka otrdien Latvijā snigs un puteņos, valsts rietumu pusē arī līs. Sinoptiķi brīdina, ka stiprāki nokrišņi un arī stiprāks vējš Latvijā iespējams laika periodā no trešdienas vakara līdz ceturtdienas vakaram. Tad daudz līs, gaidāms arī stiprs sniegputenis.

Ja Kurzemē un Zemgalē visi nokrišņi izkritīs lietus veidā, straujā ūdens līmeņa paaugstināšanās dažās upēs var izraisīt ledus iešanu un palus. Pašreizējās prognozes liecina, ka liela daļa nokrišņu būs sniegs, kas mazinās palu risku, tomēr gaidāmā lietus un kūstošā sniega dēļ jārēķinās ar pamatīgu šķīdoni daudzviet valstī.
