Kalniņš aicina ES pārstrukturēt ekonomiskās sankcijas pret Baltkrieviju - DELFI.lv

Saeimas Ārlietu komisijas priekšsēdētājs ]]> Ojārs Kalniņš ]]> , no 11. līdz 12.martam piedaloties ]]> Eiropas Savienības ]]> (ES) prezidējošās valsts Dānijas rīkotajā ES nacionālo parlamentu ārlietu komisiju priekšsēdētāju sanāksmē, izteicis aicinājumu ES pārstrukturēt ekonomiskās sankcijas pret Baltkrieviju, pavēstīja Saeimas Preses dienestā.

Sanāksmes laikā Kalniņš uzsvēris, ka ES iecerētās ekonomiskās sankcijas pret Baltkrieviju nebūs efektīvas, jo no tām cietīs nevis Baltkrievijas prezidenta Aleksandra Lukašenko režīms, bet gan tikai vienas dalībvalsts – Latvijas – uzņēmēji.

Saskaņā ar sniegto informāciju sanāksmē piedalījās ne tikai dalībvalstu parlamentārieši, bet arī Dānijas ārlietu ministrs Villijs Sevndals un ES augstā pārstāve ārlietu jautājumos Ketrīna Eštone. "Sarunās ar viņiem aicināju pārstrukturēt ES ekonomiskās sankcijas, lai tās būtu patiesi efektīvas un mudinātu Lukašenko mainīt savu politiku, nevis atstātu negatīvu iespaidu tikai uz Latvijas ekonomiskajām interesēm," teica Kalniņš.

Saeimas Preses dienestā informēja, ka Ārlietu komisijas priekšsēdētājs Kopenhāgenā norādījis arī to, ka ES jāreaģē uz cilvēktiesību pārkāpumiem Baltkrievijā, tomēr visiem spertajiem soļiem jābūt patiesi efektīviem, pārdomātiem un visaptverošiem.

"Sarunā ar Ketrīnu Eštoni un Dānijas ārlietu ministru uzsvēru, ka jādara viss, lai ]]> Baltkrievija ]]> atbrīvotu politieslodzītos un ievērotu cilvēktiesības. Tomēr pagaidām piedāvātās sankcijas būtu tik šauras, selektīvas un neefektīvas, ka Lukašenko režīms tās vispār nejustu. Savukārt Latvijas uzņēmēji no tām ciestu, un tādēļ Latvijai šāds sankciju veids nav pieņemams," klāstīja Kalniņš.

Viņš sanāksmē vērsa uzmanību arī uz to, ka nevienas pret Baltkrieviju noteiktās ekonomiskās sankcijas nestrādās pietiekami efektīvi, kamēr vien tām nebūs Krievijas atbalsta.

Jau ziņots, ka ES atsaukusi uz konsultācijām savus vēstniekus Baltkrievijā. Šāds lēmums pieņemts, reaģējot uz Baltkrievijas lēmumu atsaukt uz konsultācijām pārstāvi ES un vēstnieku Polijā un prasību ES un Polijas vēstniekiem no Minskas atgriezties savās galvaspilsētās, kuru Baltkrievija pieņēma, reaģējot uz ES sankciju pastiprināšanu pret Minsku.

Savukārt Latvijas Ārlietu ministrijas valsts sekretārs ]]> Andris Teikmanis ]]> iepriekš paziņoja, ka ekonomisko sankciju noteikšana pret Baltkrieviju ir ļoti reāla un Latvijas uzņēmējiem to vajadzētu ņemt vērā.
