Polską placówką dyplomatyczną w randze charge d'affaires będzie kierować Witold Jurasz.

Witold Jurasz przez rok - po katastrofie smoleńskiej - kierował polską ambasadą w Mińsku.

Wyjazd ambasadora jest związany z wczorajszą prośbą dyplomatyczną białoruskiego MSZ, aby Leszek Szerepka i stała przedstawicielka Unii Europejskiej w Mińsku udali się na konsultacje do swoich stolic.

Tego samego dnia Unia Europejska w geście solidarności postanowiła odwołać z Mińska wszystkich ambasadorów państw Wspólnoty. Stany Zjednoczone wsparły zaś decyzję europejskich partnerów.

Białoruski MSZ w wydanym oświadczeniu napisał dziś, że "nerwowa reakcja UE na propozycję Białorusi, by ambasadorzy Polski i Unii Europejskiej w Mińsku przeprowadzili rundę konsultacji świadczy tylko o jednym - wyborze przez Brukselę eskalacji napięcia. Resort spraw zagranicznych Białorusi podkreślił, że "w Brukseli i stolicach państw Unii Europejskiej powinni wiedzieć, że stosowana wobec Białorusi taktyka zastraszania nie zdaje egzaminu".

Białoruski MSZ stwierdził, że "na jednostronnych warunkach siłowych nacisków nie jest mozliwa normalizacja stosunków", zaś "kosntruktywny wynik da tylko oparty na wzajemnym szacunku dialog prowadzony na zasadach akceptowanych przez obie strony".

Obecnie w MSZ trwa spotkanie wiceszefowej polskiej dyplomacji z ambasadorami państw UE, poświęcone sytuacji na Białorusi.
