To reakcja Mińska na wprowadzone przez Unię Europejską kolejne sankcje wobec białoruskiego reżimu.

- Ambasadorowi Polski i szefowej przedstawicielstwa Unii Europejskiej na Białorusi polecono wyjazd do swoich stolic w celu konsultacji, aby przekazali swoim władzom twarde stanowisko państwa białoruskiego - poinformował MSZ w Mińsku.

Oboje dyplomaci - Leszek Szerepka i Maira Mora - zostali we wtorek wezwani do siedziby resortu, gdzie przekazano im stanowisko białoruskich władz. Jednocześnie na konsultacje do Mińska zostali wezwani: ambasador Białorusi w Warszawie i stały przedstawiciel Białorusi przy Unii Europejskiej.

MSZ w Mińsku zapowiedział, że w przypadku - jak napisano - "kontynuowania nacisków na Republikę Białoruś, zostaną podjęte inne środki w celu obrony jej interesów". - Propozycje Białorusi w sprawie rozwoju dialogu, współdziałania i współpracy z Unią Europejską na zasadach równości i wzajemnego szacunku pozostają aktualne - napisał MSZ w Mińsku.

Unia Europejska zaakceptowała we wtorek decyzję o nałożeniu kolejnych sankcji na Białoruś. Bruksela chce w ten sposób ukarać Mińsk za represje reżimu w stosunku do swych przeciwników politycznych.

Sankcje mają dotyczyć 21 wysokich rangą przedstawicieli władz Białorusi. Ich konta bankowe mają być zamrożone, a poza tym mają dostać zakaz wjazdu na teren Wspólnoty. Wcześniej podobne restrykcje dotknęły ponad 200 członków władz i aparatu represji Białorusi.

Donald Tusk pytany o komentarz powiedział, że Polska nie zmieni swojego stanowiska w sprawie sankcji dla Białorusi. Jednocześnie premier zaznaczył, że szczegółowych wyjaśnień udzieli szef MSZ Radosław Sikorski.
