Młodzieżowy reprezentant Białorusi do Jagiellonii trafił z Bielszyny Bobrujsk, w której w poprzednim sezonie zdobył 11 bramek i zaliczył pięć asyst. Zanim podpisał kontrakt wystąpił w specjalnym test-meczu. Po nim pozytywnie o grze Zubowicza wypowiadał się ówczesny trener białostoczan ]]> Czesław Michniewicz ]]> .

- Mam nadzieję, że Jagiellonia ze mną w składzie będzie pięła się w górę tabeli - mówi po podpisaniu kontraktu z białostockim klubem Zubowicz.

- Próbujemy zrewanżować się za transfer Maycona - żartował wtedy Marek Citko, który współpracował z Jagiellonią przy sprowadzeniu Zubowicza.

Wspomniany Maycon do Białegostoku przechodził jako król strzelców ligi białoruskiej. Brazylijczyk nie zdołał jednak przebić się do podstawowego składu Jagiellonii, nie błyszczał też w I lidze w barwach Piasta Gliwice, gdzie w międzyczasie był wypożyczony. Niedawno wrócił na Białoruś, jest wypożyczony do Bate Borysów.

- Moim zdaniem Maycon nie poradził sobie w Polsce, bo unikał trochę walki, jest bardziej technicznym zawodnikiem. Jestem przekonany, że ze mną będzie inaczej - podkreślał Zubowicz.

Z zapowiedzi nic nie wyszło. Białorusin od początku nie miał najwyższych notowań u nowego sztabu szkoleniowego Jagiellonii. Kiedy białostoczanie jeździli na mecze do Kielc i Krakowa on ćwiczył z ekipą z Młodej Ekstraklasy. Spotkanie z Ruchem Chorzów oglądał z trybun. Wcześniej podpadł tym, że później wrócił ze zgrupowanie olimpijskiej reprezentacji Białorusi, która szykuje się do występu w Londynie. Teraz został wypożyczony do ekipy z Białorusi. Co ciekawe to trzeci zawodnik sprowadzony do Jagiellonii podczas ostatniej przerwy w rozgrywkach, który nie rozegrał ani jednego oficjalnego spotkania i musiał pożegnać się z białostocką drużyną. Wcześniej z zespołem odeszli Przemysław Kostuch i Mirosław Kalista.

- Zubowicz u nas nie miałby szans na grę, a powinien grać jeżeli chce wystąpić na igrzyskach. Myślę, że wypożyczenie jest w tym momencie najlepszym rozwiązaniem - stwierdza Cezary Kulesza, prezes i jeden z właścicieli Jagiellonii. - Nie można jednak mówić, że nasze dotychczasowe transfery z zespołów z Białorusi były jakimiś niewypałami. Maycon trafił na okres gdy świetnie spisywali się ]]> Kamil Grosicki ]]> i Tomek Frankowski. Nie miał szans na grę, został odstawiony na boczny tor i to go chyba podłamało. Teraz dla Bate zdobył już trzy gole. Jak ważne jest dla niektórych zawodników to czy trener na niego stawia może świadczyć przypadek Maćka Makuszewskiego, który teraz z meczu na mecz gra coraz lepiej.
